Machine Gun Kelly, T-Pain and Zedd to headline F1 Las Vegas GP lineup

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is returning to the Strip for the third time in November, and with it comes another high-profile slate of off-track entertainment. Machine Gun Kelly, T-Pain and Zedd will headline performances at the T-Mobile Zone at Sphere as part of the race’s growing roster of live music programming. 

“Las Vegas is an entertainment hub within itself, so it was only fitting to bring together some of the music industry’s best to create an unmatched concert experience for race weekend,” Las Vegas Grand Prix CEO Emily Prazer said this week. 

“Paired with the jaw-dropping graphics of the Exosphere and incredible views of the track, T-Mobile Zone at Sphere has the best of all worlds.” 

Along with the “Bloody Valentine” rocker, the legendary rapper, and the international DJ, fans watching at turns 7 through 9 will be treated to performances by Sofi Tukker, Jess Glynne, Cassian and more chart-toppers. 

Unlike other races on the calendar, Vegas is promoted by F1 itself, so it’s little surprise the organization has tapped talent already within the fold.  

Earlier this year, Machine Gun Kelly opened the glitzy F1 75 livery reveal event, which was held at London’s O2 Arena. His performance was met with mixed reviews, as he rapped vague lyrics about F1, leaving audience members confused about the tone of the evening.  

To make matters even more awkward, many F1 fans were most familiar with the American rapper for his exceptionally bizarre grid walk moment with Martin Brundle. At the 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix, Machine Gun Kelly found himself on the live end of a Brundle mic, and proceeded to give the commentator the cold shoulder. “Someone put a microphone in my face, essentially forcing me to do a random interview when I was just trying to enjoy an event,” he wrote on X after the incident, to little sympathy.

Zedd, meanwhile, has become a mainstay on the F1 party circuit, and even counts McLaren’s Lando Norris as a close pal. “Lando is my best friend in F1… I’ll always have his back,” the “Clarity” hitmaker said on the Go with Elmo Lovano podcast last year.  

“I’m so proud of him. When people treat him unfairly, he’s still so grounded, it’s really inspirational to see.” 

The DJ, who is no stranger to the paddock, has also been an outspoken supporter of the sport. 

“Drive to Survive is what got me into F1. I didn’t care about it before that, and I’m from Germany where we have Schumacher and so many legendary drivers,” he said of the hit Netflix series. 

Although Grammy winner T-Pain is less acquainted with the world of F1, the self-confessed car enthusiast most recently made a surprise appearance during the Miami Grand Prix for a performance at the swanky Carbone Beach party.
